It is the perfect way to see the Mughal wonders without an overnight stay.
The drive from Jaipur to Agra takes about 4–5 hours, passing through small towns and scenic landscapes. Once in Agra, you will witness the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal, followed by a guided visit to Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Depending on time, you may also explore local markets or enjoy a traditional lunch before heading back. This package combines convenience, comfort, and the opportunity to experience one of the world’s greatest monuments in just one day.
The day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Jaipur. Your private cab will take you on a 240 km drive to Agra, which takes about 4–5 hours. The journey is comfortable, passing through Rajasthan’s rural landscapes and small towns before entering Uttar Pradesh.
Arrival in Agra & Taj Mahal Visit (11:00 AM – 01:00 PM)
On arrival in Agra, the first stop is the Taj Mahal, the crown jewel of Mughal architecture. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, this white marble mausoleum is celebrated for its symmetry, delicate carvings, and breathtaking beauty. You will spend ample time exploring the gardens, reflecting pools, and intricate interiors of the Taj Mahal. Whether you are a photographer, history lover, or simply a traveller in awe, the monument offers unforgettable moments.
Lunch Break (01:00 PM – 02:00 PM)
After visiting the Taj Mahal, you can enjoy lunch at a recommended restaurant in Agra. The city is known for its Mughlai cuisine, with dishes such as kebabs, biryanis, and curries. Alternatively, you may choose from international dining options.
Agra Fort Tour (02:15 PM – 03:30 PM)
Next, you will explore the Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site. This red sandstone fort was the main residence of the Mughal emperors before Delhi became the capital. Inside, you will find grand halls, mosques, and courtyards, as well as the famous view of the Taj Mahal from the fort’s balconies.
Optional Local Market Visit (03:45 PM – 04:15 PM)
If time permits, you may visit Agra’s local markets, known for marble souvenirs, handicrafts, and leather goods. It’s an excellent opportunity to shop for gifts or keepsakes.
Return Drive to Jaipur (04:30 PM – 09:00 PM)
After a memorable day in Agra, you will begin your return journey to Jaipur. By evening or late night, your driver will drop you back at your hotel, completing the tour.
